Insist on the 5c and toss it into the little Cotlands/SPCA tin at the till.
+1 I always insist on the correct change, if they can't give it to me, then it must be in my favour...and it goes in some donation tin.

Insist on the 5c and toss it into the little Cotlands/SPCA tin at the till.
I always leave a 5c change!!! These days i sometimes leave a 10c change and even a 20c change.
And then what? Costs more to get the bank to count it than its worth
dude they will not make millions off 5 cents
Don't know if it's just me, but I'm noticing more and more places aren't giving me my 5c change.
Something costs R19.95, give them a R20 note and they close the till.
I'm in two minds about this , a friend insists that she always get her 5c change because 'If they do it all the time they'll make millions', but I look at all the 5c coins clogging up my wallet I think, let them keep it.
So what do you do? Insist on the 5c or don't bother?
What a great add to this thread!!
