Yeah cool so far so good. For long time I had a 128kb connection and it is way better than dailup. So hopefully the dailup people go that way. Nice one neotell keep it comming.
 
I know this a Neotel versus Telkom article but a it was mentioned in the article I would like to know why we all seem to merrily allow the cell companies to charge us R2/mb?

There is always plenty of b_tching about Telkom's costs and how they rip us off, and of course we have RPM and others championing our cause on that front, but what about the rip off costs by cell companies?!? I often get huge bills merely because I popped onto a website or checked email on my phone! Crazy stuff!

8c versus 200c for the same amount of data! Yes, I could get a package and get it cheaper but I do not have the same needs month to month! Even the sworn enemy, Telkom. has released their new packages with 30c/mb out of package prices.

Come on those who have a voice in the right place, put more pressure on the big money making cell companies! And while we are at it, what about 75c to send a few lines of text! MADNESS!! But we all seem to accept this ripoff!

Don't even bother if you're talking about rev0. RevA though will have 1.8Mbps upload. Check the technical thread in the neotel section of the forum for more details.

When are we gonna get fixed line broadband? It is all good and well to dig up every road is S.A installing the stuff (which is killing my shocks btw) but all I want is a good speed line coming into my house. Is that to much to ask for?

Wonder what router they will roll out when Neotel do decide to go the broadband route?

That is a good question. I dunno if an analog fax service can be connected. I suspect you would have to use software on the host machine to send, but I dunno how you would receive. Maybe with a fax to e-mail service.

We were planning on sending the fax from our existing Telkom line. ;)
