Should I buy Sim City yet?

So I am really keen to play Sim City but I dunno if i'm willing to fork out the cash for it after reading alot about the game, so should I just wait till it goes on a special or just buy it now.

From reading about the bugs and patches etc. I think your best option would be to wait until the game is considered stable, and is off the "New Releases" lists. That way you pay a reasonable price for a reasonably stable game.

It is still a fun game to play, and worth the money spend. But if you are willing to wait, the price will come down. The negative reviews the game got does not really affect the game play.
