Can you guys please recommend what my options could be?
I'd love to try everything before going on to anti-depressants or mind menders.
I'm a bit worried that I'm eventually gonna have to try that route.
Unless your anxiety is having a really significant negative impact on your quality of life stay away from medication. All anti anxiety/anti depressants come with a risk of severe side effects. Often long term and without you even realising it until it's too late. Drugs are not the easy quick fix solution doctors who hand them out like candy make them out to be. They're potent and life altering(positively or negatively). Do you really want to mess with the chemicals in your brain?
First step is addressing the underlying cause of your anxiety. Easier said than done as it often requires addressing issues you've deliberately suppressed, hence they're now surfacing elsewhere in the form of anxiety, and being honest with yourself.
I'd suggest the following.
1) Exercise - clears the nervous tension in a positive way and boosts endorphins and feel good hormones
2) Reduce stressful activities - Sounds obvious but there are activities that while they're enjoyable you might be feeling guilty about afterwards at least subconsciously. Think hard about that.
3) Sleep - Get plenty of it. Lack of it leads to irritability and anxiety. You might well be over tired and not even know it as you've grown accustomed to a lifestyle with too little sleep. Could well be a significant part of the problem.
4) Meditation - Clear and calm your mind. Best time to examine what the possible underlying cause of your anxiety is
5) See a psychologist - If only to talk frankly and honestly to someone outside your circle. Again helps with getting underlying issues out into the open so you can address them.
