Should I get DSTV Premium + Explora?

I currently have an old pvr (view 1 and record 2) as I like to get all the Super 15 Games as well as Aviva Premiership Rugby.
Will I be able to do this with Explora 2. Sales staff in usual stores dont seem too clued up.
BTW my current m\c is on its last legs and taakes ages to decide if its going to obey the remote.
 
I'm also thinking of getting explora on compact though through dstv price lock. But I'm not a TV guy I fine most contents on dstv boring.
