Should prisoners be allowed to vote?

[FTguy]

Rather ask the question - should non-tax payers be allowed to vote. Then you will have a more interesting thread/polls.

Now THIS i can get onboard with!

Or if you're been reading Robert Heinlein (Starship Troopers)... should only war veterans be allowed to vote. He makes a convincing argument in that book.
Only those that have PROVEN that they are willing to die for the country should be allowed to vote for it.
But yeah... it's fiction. Utopia... Aaah... one can dream.

In theory it sounds good, but in South Africa it won't work, like most western ideas to be fair.
