Quite the opposite. It is time that the whole process is stopped and control transferred back to Parliament.
What is need is focused targeted actions where required.
Like restricting known superspreader events without a blanket response on all.
Like doing something about the church events directly.

Because people shouldn't die just so someone can go on holiday. A large part of the starting spread was from a bunch of rich kids going skiing in the EU and bringing the virus back.
Its amazing how people can not just take a chill pill for a couple of months to save years of time. All the countries that took **** serously and attacked the spread correctly, have mostly no deaths, and have no lockdowns or restrictions.

Lol, **** off. We have had over a year now of lockdowns and restrictions. The countries you are talking about have functioning governments that arent complete scum. They did the necessary from their end.
We as a country cant afford to hobble the economy anymore!
We will see WAY more deaths from poverty and the effects on the economy due to this whole debacle.

You should take off your rose-tinted glasses at some point and try to see what is going on here. If this was REALLY about saving the people, our so-called 'government' would have not squandered our tax billions being the usual looters, but would have jumped in line for vaccines, and we'd already have taken care of the front line. People have given up in SA because of the false promises and BS, like no t-shirts and flip flops, by excluding the rest of parliament in these decisions, by ignoring the global science.
Go check out how much people give a rats ass about these lock downs in the townships, or at the night clubs etc etc.

No no. These countries have higher average IQs, and a populations that arnt easily fooled by simple propaganda that tries to deny basic science.
I hate the ANC, as much as the next guy. But the reality is, what they wanted and what they are doing, is the correct way to slow and stop the virus. The people of South Africa, were and are the problem.
The economy isnt coming back till the virus is gone. As the poll suggests, at least half the country isnt stupid, and thus, they will not be engaging in going to restaurants and such, till the virus is gone.

I mean, they knew there was a virus spreading around the world, and instead of just simply, you know, not taking that trip, they did. And they were a large part of the initial spread throughout our whole country.
That is how viruses work. Over 50% of cases in South Korea, were traced back to a single gathering of people.
