1. Telkom does not want to merge with that lot - they can't afford any more incompetence within their ranks.
2. But Telkom might benefit from buying Rain's network for scrap value to get access to the spectrum and shut the network down.

If they merge, they will have to work very hard to improve their customer service. If they don't they will never be a serious competitor.

I am in the fortunate position of still have 2 Rain SIMs on the R50/GB pay-as-you-use plan and I hope to keep using them.
telkom is pure evil and out of principal I will never do business with them - ever. Please stay away from that monopolistic retard company.
