No! Please no!

I am in the fortunate position of still have 2 Rain SIMs on the R50/GB pay-as-you-use plan and I hope to keep using them.
telkom is pure evil and out of principal I will never do business with them - ever. Please stay away from that monopolistic retard company.
The thing is, it's Rain running after Telkom, not the other way around from all I've read.

I'll be quite happy if I've nothing to do with Rain, as simply testing their LTE SIMs was a complete failure for me.

Telkom on the other hand, give me the fastest LTE download speeds & hardly ever any downtime - in the past 2 months since I've been back using them (apart from load-shedding), only twice their signal was dead I came across (both times after midnight for about 15 minutes each - probably some minor maintenance?).

Been very consistent otherwise & reasonably priced month-month data through Axxess.

Telkom should split into Mobile and Rest. Mobile can merge with Rain and the rest can be sold to MTN.

Rain doesn't care about anything not mobile and is actively undermining fibre with its messaging. They cannot be allowed to have any say around any non-mobile assets as they will run that business into the ground.

For my part, Rain can & should stay far away from Telkom Mobile.

I don't need them messing up what's working perfectly well for me now.
