So I was thinking, in countries like Australia voting is compulsory by law. Personally I'm tired of the millions of morons who say that their one vote won't make a difference, and I know that people will moan about it being their right to choose whether or not to vote.
But would they even have the right to vote in the first place if others didn't go out and vote to bring about change? I think a lot of people are taking this right for granted, and would sorely regret it if the ruling party took away the right to vote.
So the question is should SA make voting compulsory by law? And how enforceable would it be?
