I hope she realizes that this move openly shows that government decisions around telecoms in South Africa are corrupt and moved by individual interests of connected politicians rather than the good of the people of the republic. The sad thing is that the money she will use to blunt competition in SA's telecoms market comes from the people she intends to hurt namely the South African tax payer.

Any idea if she is in with the "Zuma" crowd? If she isn't this could be her last big pay cheque.
 
Why must the government prove time and time again that they are the biggest threat to progress in SA? The moment that there is a shimmer of hope in the distance, they do all that they can to destroy it.
 
These idiots think that the rest of the working SA owe them something because they were oppressed, so now they will oppress the whole nation.

They are corrupt, money hungry bastards.

Until such time as they REALLY want to bring South Africa out of apartheid and racism as they so love to call it, it will never get better.

Unfortunately the majority of people don't use the the internet and can't do to much, like STRIKE for example.

Maybe all the ISP's should strike, then they won't be able to get online to transfer there money, pay for there fancy cars or go on nice plane trips for 200 people.

Someone in another thread mentioned something about carving chunks out of voodoo doll replicas of her Ivyness.

I suggest we all start doing that, and making lots of noise. I also don't think Altech will take this laying down, I think they are goign to fight tooth and nail to make sure that their first fight wan't for nothing.

Is there anywhere I can read why the DoC and Ivy think that their managed liberalization approach is so much better for the telcoms sector in ZA than a big bang approach? (although its more of a loud noise than a big bang). Im interested to see their reasoning but I do doubt it will include maintaining the value of their comrades shares...

Its better for the "Telecoms sector" because it guards the profits of Vodacom, MTN, Telkom, Neotel. All of which their buddies have vested interest in.
 
Hahahaha I knew this was coming ... It makes sense why telkom & neotel would want that act ammended. But seriously if Ivy ammends the act dose the court ruling stand ? & if so can Altech appeal this ammendment ?
 
I wonder..

It is interesting that Ivy's appeal comes within days of the suspension of Mvelaphanda's bid for Telkom.
 
sigh I don't think anyone would ever win against this feking government... look at mbeki?

personnaly I think Mbeki's step down was more in the direction of giving him grace as Zuma would expose all their arses and let the entire world see how feked up/corrupt our current government is
