They're all region locked too, ie Region B.

Although 60% of US BDs are region free, its usually the A ones
which are good. :(

Have Planet Earth and Beowulf.

Realised that US and Japanese region A's won't play. So that sucks.

Not ecstatic about Planet Earth or Beowulf either. BD seems like a money making thing IMO and not worth the cost of rebuying titles -- I have a huge DVD library (mostly foreign Region 1's).

I run a Media Center, I'll probably just replace the DVD-Writer with a Blueray Rom - AnyDVD should take care of region locking.

Pfft BluRay is for the birds... Only reason I might consider buying it is for data storage which is also unlikely...

My Blu-Ray collection = 0

My DVD collection = several hundred

Bluray sucks donkey balls.

I'll buy a BluRay writer when that cost are around R500 and the discs can be had for < R20.
And then the size must be at least 50-100GB and the discs must not fail like DVD's do.

Why is it that blu-ray haters are weary suckers who don't own an HD compliant set. Just reminds of a guy on dstv forum arguing he can't see different between SD & HD feed :o

Oh I love HD! I never said I don't like it. I said Blu-Ray sucks... not HD. True, I don't own an HD compliant TV... but I can still watch HD stuff on my 22" computer monitor.

Blu-Ray fanboys suck as well. :p

I love Bluray - massive difference on a 42" LCD!
