I'm an Android noob.

Is there a way to get the battery percentage text displayed at the top, like the above screenshots, in stock ICS?

On my S3 it is in: Settings -> Display -> Display Battery Percentage (2nd option from the bottom).

On mine its Settings -> Battery -> Battery indicator style (then select Percentage the second option from the top)

Thanks guys, but my S2 doesn't have an option in the settings to do this. Is there maybe a good app to do something like this?

My S2 had the option but I was running CM9 - so I can't say whether or not it was a stock ICS feature or not...

MIUIv4 for me so it = 4.0.4

Dont know about stock ICS or 4.0.3

As for an app that does it, only app would probably tied to a launcher, have you checked Apex Launcher?

Edit: Nevermind, just checked Apex, not in it.

You create the best screens!

Only need two screens, don't like spending 5 minutes flipping between screens :D

Like the MIUI launcher I see?

Should try out some themes or even mixing em, see below example of my DHD's current look:

Yep! I love this default theme, the icons look very similar to the desktop icons I use for my Fedora machines (this one: http://tiheum.deviantart.com/art/Faenza-Icons-173323228), I love the square uniform icons as it makes everything look a lot more orderly :)

Only issue I had so far was trying to find my location on the weather widget, took me a while as it doesn't list Cape Town but I found "Bellville" which does the job fine.

How did you get the battery display in the notification bar to display a numerical value?

Lol, asked the same thing a few posts back. It depends which ROM you are using, some phones have a setting for it in the stock ROM, but some don't (like ICS on the Galaxy S2). Read a few posts back, we discussed it there.

Mine for now. ;)

Simple and functional, very nice.

I totally agree, although I like to keep a balance so I usually use three screens.

I love what you've done with your layout. Everything fits together perfectly - wallpaper, icons and widgets.

Thanx, I actually made it just for the demonstration on what mixing could do with MIUI. I think that one was 3 different themes mixed, and the wallpaper was from a Google image search using a color filter.

Here's some of my SGS2 running Windows XP :-POk enough of XP lol, here's my normal Home screen, I do have a screen either side of this shotw with my widgets and apps i frequent.

Bit slow? :) http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/441279-Windows-XP-on-your-tablet-(Not-really)
