Sold the G-SHOCK GA100MB-1AER as it was a bit too cumbersome for me, and I ordered one of these from Amazon.com for around R1500 all in.

I also have a Timex Expedition Scout in my wishlist, might see if the finances allow to get one for myself for my birthday in September since a Hammy is out of my affordability range at the minute.

Casio Duro is a lovely piece, crazy value for money. I also love the Timex Expedition, the indiglo feature is brilliant. Only negative I've heard is that it is rather loud.
 
That frank muller for R8k must be fake ....

I dig the louder watches, actually (my Swatch is rather loud, a consequence of the light acrylic case material) but I hear that some people say the resin Timex pieces are something else.

A ticking watch on my bedside table has me asleep in no time at all.
 
I have been rocking my Dad's first sub he ever bought 25 years or so ago since we had his memorial service on Saturday.
Just using my Zuludiver strap.

Not a big fan of gold but this one is special. I might just keep wearing it daily.

Yup, ordered from Amazon.com. I think I may have low-key dyslexia because it looks like I am making up digits as I go along - it was R1733.24 in total with shipping and the customs deposit. The watch itself was R1242.36. Feck knows where I pulled the R1500 figure from.

I wanted to get one from LugToLug initially, but they didn't have the SS strap one that I wanted, only the resin band models for R1999.00.

But is it safe to wear it daily?

Only wear my Rolex on special occasions. Would hate to have my arm chopped off! :p
 
I donno maybe I am weird but, I feel if I only wear it on special occasions it feels like showing off.
Wear the fscking thing and people who know you know you wear it and there's nothing funny about it. It's just you being you.

You get the odd kant now and again that makes a stupid remark but I just ignore them.
