Tell us about your siblings ... and are you a typical eldest/middle/youngest child ?

Now that you are all adults, do you get along well as grown-ups or have you grown apart over the years?

I am the youngest; I have one brother who is 3 years older than me.

I'm the eldest, have a younger sister, 8 years between us. See her once in a blue moon, would like to know her better but its been so long now I don't even know where to start to get to know her. Sometimes I feel guilty about that but then i remind myself that she's hardly made an effort either. Would rather concentrate on the people I do have in my life and who do make an effort.

2nd eldest of four, we are 3 brothers and one sister. We all live near our parents so we see each other every other day.

My brothers and I are hugely separated. We're on each other's Facebooks so I follow their lives a bit but we don't have any contact really. Our family is pretty broken actually and I went to live by myself when I was 16 and only went back to the US for vacations, so it was natural that we drifted apart. Now one is in Taiwan and the other is in Mississippi and we just hardly contact each other. We get along fine, it's just ... that's what's happened. My grandmother died this week and I couldn't even get hold of them to let them know.

I have two older sisters. One two years older and one seven years older. I'm quite close with the one who's two years older than me. We chat every other day or so and I hang out with her and her bf a couple of times a month.

I am one of 2 kids. Youngest and the prettiest. Sister is older by 5 years and proves that being older dont mean you are wiser.

We are very close and best friends. We have our moments and fights of:

Then we dont speak for a week and then we pretend nothing happend and she makes me potato salad with loads of onions and tons of mayo...just like a big sister should!

I'm fairly close with my brother and sister (I'm the eldest), however I try to only contact them when needed as as soon as they hear my voice they want money

In my neighbourhood a guy was buried last Saturday who last had contact with his family about 12 or 13 years ago. He stayed with friends of mine. I always thought they were related to him until I heard his story.

After he had an argument with his family one day he just got up and told them "I'm leaving, and I'm never coming back". So his family broke all contact with him and my friend's mother took him in (they were colleagues). His family never saw or heard from him again until he died and my friend's mother spent a days trying to find them to tell them he'd died.

Told myself as much as I don't always see eye to eye with my siblings I don't want to live like that
