Ask him what your legal options are to refuse any further work on this vehicle?
Surely there is a limit to how far one customer can force a business to go?
 
Its actually times like those that you really need to know who the crap non-franchise dealers are and then you "unofficially" redirect him to these "experts". Needless to say they will have none of his nonsense and cause him more problems than he could ever dream up.

An XV manual is R259000 - but we are running a special on Legacies at the moment and you can drive out in a brand new 2.0 Legacy for R 249 000 - provided you like silver and manual gearbox...:p

Aaah I see now. That is why you can give such great service, great service has a price lol.

Gary you would be surprised - since the CPA came in in April you would not believe what lengths some people will go to to try and get their pound of flesh.
This guy has been a mission from day one, but some people will go out of their way to simply get up your nose.

That, is a pretty damn good price. IF that car had a bit more "go" i would be extremely tempted. Unfortunately, i have said my next car must be a sub 8 second minimum
 
UPDATE

El Pricko got his car back today, because apart from the radiator job, he insisted that we paint every nut and bolt in the engine bay, because he said that they were rusting..........................

Anyway, we did it, and just to make sure that he was totally happy with the job we sent the car for a professional valet (R500) so that it was back to showroom condition. He then refused to get his fat backside into our loan car and drive it back, and insisted that we deliver the car to him, so we did................

Driver got there and this fat sod apparently waddled around the car and then threw a fit as he said that we had scratched his front bumper. He phoned our service lady and started yelling at her - calling her a "useless b i t c h" and demanding that we respray his bumper. What he didn't realise or had forgotten was that we had made him sign ON TWO OCCASIONS that his front bumper was scratched - he had done it himself two months ago!

Whilst he was shouting at the lady, she put her phone on to speaker phone so that our DP could hear him. The DP picked up half way through and basically told him to wind his neck in and to present himself at our boardroom for a "meeting" to discuss any further problems with us in a civilized manner.

This is like a bloody soap opera - the man is definitely sick, and he is definitely not getting a new car out of us!! :D

Are your calls recorded? If so then stop entertaining this knob and haul his ass to court.
 
Can you believe it, he has now reported us to HO for being rude to him!!!!!!!!!!!

He obviously never even considered that all of our calls were recorded! :D

HO now has the full story, and if he carries on like this, he'll be getting his car serviced in Botswana, as no local guys will touch him!

I must say, we all salute you because if I have a client that raises their tempo by 2 octaves in less than 30 seconds, off goes the phone. Sorry no, speak like a respectable person and in turn you will get respected. I think he found you guys so easy to push over and manipulate he tried his best to suck as much life out of you guys as possible.

I know I'd have lost my nut with this guy ages ago and told him to go fsck himself repeatedly.

But what a hassle hey, I would much rather be civil on the phone and in a deal than put up a fuss and have all that hassle and admin. The guy is clearly a nutter!
And Fazda, you guys are also nutters for putting up with him, lol :p
 
You guys are way too nice to him and have eaten so much of his crap already.

Maybe convince him that he should go and trade in his car on a VAG or GM product - those guys don't take crap from no one.
 
Please keep us updated, I'm dying to see what HO says to him when they hear the recordings.
