Following a bout of food poisoning that has troubled the SA ‘A’ team in India over the last two days, the BCCI have agreed to re-schedule matches in the ‘A’ tri-series in order to give the SA ‘A’ team more recovery time.

The SA 'A' team was scheduled to play Australia ‘A’ on Tuesday, but this match has now been rescheduled for Wednesday.

The SA ‘A’ team will then face India ‘A’ on Thursday and if they win both these matches, will take on Australia ‘A’ in the final on Friday.

On Sunday, at least seven players had to be hospitalised at various times suffering from a bout of food poisoning. All players have since been discharged from hospital and are back at their hotel in Chennai in various stages of recovery.

“We are grateful to the BCCI for allowing us the extra day for our players to recover,” said CSA Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat.

“We wish our players a speedy recovery and best of luck for the rest of the tour,” concluded Lorgat.

They dare not complain lest the chef inject another cocktail of the gremlins into their food. Get well/strong soon lads!

Absolutely shocking tour for SA A. The future for our ODI team is looking worse and worse.

haven't followed it, what are the results thus far? who is on tour?

We haven't won a single game and were comprehensively beaten in each game. A couple of positives though, QdK back in form with a couple centuries. Next highest runs getter for us was Zondo. Also Tsotsobe in the wickets again for what seamed to be spin friendly pitches to match Coulter-Nile.

Personally T de Bruyn dissapointed me, I thought he would make a seamless step up to international cricket after his great season. But clearly some more domestic games are needed.

Nice little "I play for myself" cameo there by Van Zyl. Isn't the point of A matches to still win the game?

Unless the decision was for Hendricks to attack and he keeps his wicket, yes pretty selfish when the team needs quick runs. Anyway declaration done, now for Piedt and Maharaj to do their thing and win this
