Sick stuff!! Biggest Teahupoo ever!

For those that don't know Teahupoo is a village off the island of Tahiti, French Polynesia, in the southern Pacific Ocean. Has some really sick surf.

Teahupo'o was included on Transworld Surf's list of the' Top 10 Deadliest Waves' and is commonly referred to as the "heaviest wave in the world".[6][1] The name 'Teahupo'o' loosely translates to English as “to sever the head” or "place of skulls".[6][7]
There have been 5 recorded deaths at Teahupo'o since 2000.[8] Most notably was local Tahitian surfer Briece Taerea who was killed at Teahupo'o in 2000, just one week before the annual Teahupo'o WCT event [1] Taerea attempted to duck-dive a dangerous 12-foot wave but was thrown over the falls, landing head first onto the reef. He was recovered from the water, but died later in hospital, suffering from two broken neck bones, a broken spine and paralysis from the neck down.[9]

OMG doesn't come close to describing it- never seen Teahupo'o that big before! So no one made it out?? Balls of Tungsten to know you are going to eat **** at Teahupo'o on the biggest it has been surfed (that we know of). I think this may be the definition of insanity, but imagine how you must feel after surviving!!!!

Some guy told me Teahupo'o is a myth the other day:whistle:
 
Teahupo is one astonishing wave. If you get a chance, rent or download "Riding Giants"... The back story to Laird Hamilton riding that freak for the first time is amazing and I especially loved the; he had to use his hand as an extra fin to avoid getting sucked up by the hydraulic action of the wave thingie...

Also watch Blackwater & Blackwater II. In II a jet ski goes over the falls and misses the surfers head by a ball hair.
