Hi all,

Formatted the C drive on my HTPC and started from scratch, resulting in me losing my previous settings on Sickbeard.
The problem I'm having is Sickbeard moves the new show into the desired location but I think SABnzb moves the extracted folder to the TV show directory as well resulting in multiple copies of the same show

See the screen grabs below. Any help would be appreciated :)

In the root:

In the Show folder:
4.PNG

make sure Sickbeard is doing the PP... and make sure SAB is not doing the PP

makes life easier

Been using this method for years and never had a days trouble.
Yes it works, but the Sickbeard built in post processing works better, or at least is better in my opinion.

The reason why I believe the sickbeard post processing works better is simple.
1. Keep the sickbeard post processing in the same app that trigger the downloads
2. Sickbeard can also then connect to XBMC and update it on the go, instead of letting XBMC scan for new stuff all the time. Both works, but its faster to do let Sickbeard do it, less pressure on hard drives, faster additions of new content to XBMC's database.
3. SABnzbd setup is kept to a minimum, simple and clean
4. Unified setup if you also use couchpotato and headphones, which also do their own post processing in themselves, sabnzbd do very little for them, just the downloading.
5. Less confusion IMHO.
6. No scripts required :)

That link is to the sickbeard post processor, the script notifies sickbeard that the snatched content has finished downloading and then the sickbeard post processor does its thing.

Thanks all. Just got home and saw Community E02 was done properly. Thanks for all your help.

OOC : Has anyone gotten the Plex notifier or Trakt working with Sickbeard?

+1 been using same setup for over a year now.

If you turn on post processing in sickbeard, you dont need a script to notify sickbeard when a file has finished downloaded, it scans the category in the completed folder. That is, if you have done the setup properly.

But the script method and the scan method use the exact same post processor, sickbeard. Only difference is the script method is instantaneous and doesn't require sickbeard to continually scan folders. If you really have done the setup properly you'd be using the script.

Fair enough. But without the script and scanning, I can also throw in stuff into the downloaded folder that wasn't downloaded by SAB and Sickbeard will scan and pick it up, and sort it out for me. And TBH, I still have a lot of archived stuff from pre-sickbeard days that needs sorting, which I am currently working through. So IMHO, I still prefer scanning.

True, but you can also just dump all the episodes of a series into the series folder and then use the rename function of sickbeard to sort it out properly. But I guess the folder scan option is easier in this case.

I just use the "Manual Post-Processing" option in Sickbeard for this.

Ok, new problem now. Shows are sent to SABnzb but aren't getting picked up by Sickbeard. They just sit in the Completed folder. Haven't changed a thing since Community worked properly yesterday.

EDIT : Could someone please post a screenshot from : http://SABnzb:8080/config/categories/. Think this might be the issue.
