I went for a blood pressure test two weeks ago (out of curiosity), and as it turns out, my blood pressure was sky high, ranging from 170/112 to 140/95. The scary thing is that most of the times there are no symptoms of hypertension. Some people get headaches, or experience tinnitus (ringing in the ears), but I had none. Off to the doctor I go, and since I already lead a fairly healthy lifestyle, lifestyle adjustments (like lower my salt intake, etc etc), was not an option. So he prescribed an ACE inhibitor called Prexum, which is a pill I must take every morning for six months, and then go back for testing.
Now since I had exhibited no symptoms from high blood pressure, I wouldn't know if the medication has any effect other than going for another test in a month or so. But one thing I did notice, my hayfever is basically gone.

And I had CHRONIC hayfever/allergic reactions, to the point of me taking Allergex/Advil CS two or three times daily. Now whether this is just my mind playing tricks on me I can't say, but whatever it is, it's working for me!
Perhaps someone here has a bit more knowledge on this?
