Peace and love peace and love.

Ours is also apparently made of straw and catches fire often.

Anyone around pta east I can borrow a generator from for a bit? Dead serious here...

We're in day 3 of 10 day covid isolation so I can't do shyte and the inverter battery isn't going to last.

We have so many power outages here in Zululand, anything from 4 hours to 24 hours. Forever a sub station "blowing up", besides maintenance concerns, I have no doubt there are people behind this wanting to see this country burn. Since the Zuma riots this has become the norm. How sick.

I'm sure there are some malicious events but we also have constant loadshedding hammering these substations and a really poor maintenance culture, high rates of theft and coruprion with poor training/skills and no equipment. With all of those aspects things are going to go wrong frequently.

Yeah no doubt about that.

It's absolutely ridiculous. And what about every time it rains? It's kind of become the norm here now to just wait for the power to go off on a rainy day. Loadshedding is understandable, but these constant power outages are ridiculous.

Why don't you buy a pair of panels, with this nice weather they can keep your battery full and you can enjoy your isolation without the drone of a generator.

Lots of issues with that sadly but I'm looking into it vs the cost of hiring a generator for the next couple of weeks.

Sectional title so can't mount the panels, rules are being changed but will take months, inverter is also just a mecer plug in so no charge controller.

I also have to find a way to get this all done at distance, ideally tomorrow, as we can't leave the house.

Yes you right, when it rains the power goes out as well.
