Signal drop

Hi, I used Vodacom's 3G HSDPA for a while. In fact, I tried it TWICE. Both times I was bitterly disappointed. Many, many, many signal drops. Speed was ok-ish, but signal kept being lost, and reconnection would happen. Often during a download, which would then be lost.

Anyone else have experiences like these?

I got 3G on my contract and was so unhappy that I went back to ADSL.

About a year later, we moved, no ADSL available, and I used a 3G router...exact same story. Pushed for ADSL and got it again.

I have **** signal 2. I can't wait for my contract to end. My signal, reliablity and speed sucks. I could get better and more internet for less.

Hi Ghost, do you have bad signal incertain areas, are generally all over? Also, do you experience the signal drop only in the poor signal areas, or do you experience it also when you do actually have strong signal?

I ask, because our signall was VERY strong and we still had drop-out.

one day i have full 3g signal one day i have no 3g signal then some days it comes and goes. Vodacom told me "i am to close to the base station" i am about 500 - 800 meters away. i see the base station from my front door. But i you look at the base station the Transceiver in my direction is pointing in a Completely different direction then straight. but i gave up about a year ago with Vodacom they useless. can't wait to cancel my contract! there billing department is just as useless. No rephrase that in general poor service.

He he, funny you shoul dmention the whole "close to the base station" thing. THAT WAS EXACTLY WHAT THEY TOLD ME!! LMAO!

Seems it's an easy excuse, maybe?



Although, I was not that close to it, maybe about twice as far as you, but still, that was their story.

I am using 3G only profile! but still as sh|tty as ever. also a customer of ours gets full 1.8mbps downlink but 90kbps uplink?
how does that work?
