LMFAO.. shame, some oke is gonna get fired and then later promoted to being a diplomat in some exotic destination.

I think it's pretty obvious, like with the Gupta plane landing or better yet.. The disbanding of the Scorpions, this was done on purpose. A cell phone signal jammer is a specific piece of equipment and I seriously doubt they blocked out a large number of frequencies when there are legal/regulatory & commercial costs associated with doing so. Also they would need to get someone to sign off on this happening hence I'm thinking it was just done with a fall guy waiting in the wings of someone complains.

So like wth the Scorpions the ANC goes.. 'Eish, sorry we didn't know' but we yet to see if this sort of abuse of power will continue in future. I reckon like with Scorpions, it will just continue

Of cause there will be operational errors when the ANC councillors one and only left brain neuron is arguing with the one and only right brain neuron. These things happens only when Zuma's singular midbrain neuron wants it to happen..
 
It's the ANC trying censor media at a freaking state of the nation address - something that is supposed to be public by nature.

Hold on, how can this be an "operational error" when Mbete admitted to it being on the agenda at some or other meeting? (I forget which one right now....)

Another thing, when the people asked her -during the assembly - about the signal, how obvious was it that she knew!
The look on her face, said it all.
She knew exactly what was going on.

Maybe this wasn't a jammer at all but rather a stringray type device designed to capture all the cellphone data by impersonating legitimate cellphone towers and the glitch or operational error was that it didn't work properly so the cellphone signal was never forwarded.
