Signal surging

It does? It’s very nicely integrated.
WhatsApp search is great by itself, but it also works nicely with Spotlight.
This was the point I was trying to make in the other thread before it went off the rails.

By not having multiple data silos, my searches can be very contextual and refined. When I’m in a meeting for example, it’s faster for me to search through everything email, JIRA, Slack etc. for a document.
I can just use keywords, ie. topic of the meeting to find things.

It does. I use it every day, she reads out messages I get and I can reply, or says "Whatsapp " and she will make a new message to them and send it.

Interesting, for the longest time it was Telegram only so I guess they added it recently then.

Yeah I love Spotlight for the same reasons.

I just need to know what, doesn’t really matter where from.

Oh wait I realise the problem now.

It only supports it directly on the iPhone.

Can’t use it with CarPlay or on the Watch like you can with Telegram because there aren’t native apps there.

Presumably doesn’t work on the Mac either then.

To me “Siri Support” means that it works everywhere.

Fair but to quote yourself, that’s just a matter of necessity

Only if you keep your phone on...
I understand that some want to use multiple devices.
For personal chats, nobody is freaking out if I’m not online neither am I.

The argument of what if you lose your phone or it dies, sure it’s your personal problem.
If my phone is lost or dies, WhatsApp is the least of my issues because with MFA getting into things becomes an issue.
