sim not provisioned

I am suddenly getting a message that my sim card has not been provisioned.
It is an mtn sim, which I use on Afrihost. It is pay - as - you go, and only has data loaded. No voice
Afrihost tell me that they can't see a problem.
Which means I must go to mtn
But thought I would seek advice on this forum before trying mtn!
Any ideas on how to resolve this?

I am getting the same and its on a home internet plan. The mtn geniuses are sending messages to my router so i never see them but good thing i thought to log into it to check, cause you know, its mtn geniuses hard at work. On my router I see:

"Yello, you have been re-provisioned on Home Ultra price plan. Please dial *136# or visit the MTN App to get your current balance.TsCs Apply."

When i dial *136# i get:
"Please note that this service cannot be used until you RICA this SIM. To RICA this SIM please go to where you bought it along with your ID and proof of address"

I bought it online ‍
