i think my sim card has somehow got damaged. it just started to refuse to pick up the network (cell c)

i was somewhat surprised that they charge to do a sim swap. i kind of just thought that this was one of those ubiquitous services (like when providers stopped charging for clip/r)

do other providers charge for sim swaps as well?

This happened to me a few days ago - turns out someone had performed an sim swap on my number and my sim was deregistered. Check it out asap.

I just ask the guys at a Pakistani shop for a blank sim. On TM self service portal I then link the ICCID of that SIM to my ID and choose which of my active numbers I want to assign to that ICCID. It takes less than 5 minutes.

I have to do this almost every month since a friend of mine's R370 is linked to one of my old numbers. The moment I remove that SIM from my phone, I lose it

We have four cellular networks (excluding those virtual network operators).

Why would they charge for something the network operators hand out free? It's only these big retail stores that charge for the stuff.
