Hi I tried to do sim swap at Cell C and it doesn't go through because i keep failing the questions asked its the fourth time now. They said i must go to cell c offices which i did but was told that the sim was not registered under my name. I have been using the same sim card ft many years and i got it at one of their cell c agent..

Please help i really cannot lose that number as it has many important things.

No its not rica'd under my name because i got it from the people who work for cell c. The important thing is that my CV have that number and i have sent several cv's already

As per RICA legislation we can only assist you with a SIM swap if the number is in your name and was being actively used by you. You also need to pass the mandatory security check before we can action the SIM swap for you. There is a lot of fraud when it comes to SIM swaps and that is why we take the necessary steps to protect you as the customer as well as Cell C.
