I did never ever find any servers. I don't think there were even any "official" ones.

Neither did I until yesterday when I discovered that there was a network edition that was released but never went big. It seems like such a cool idea . I downloaded the demo from download.com and would love to get into a network game.
Starcraft is still being played online so I don't see why good old Simcity2000 cant also find its place again.
But it still sounds like it could be interesting.
