I know a few people are using this right now, so I have a question

How do you find the audio quality?

Under settings I have the "High Audio Quality" option ticked as well as the "High Download Quality" one.

I find that the quality is still not great. Sounds like 96kbps or maybe 128kbps. You know when you got loud rock/guitars and it starts to distort? I'm not talking distortion from volume, I'm talking distortion from crappy encoding.

What are your experiences?

I find that some songs (maybe entire albums?) sound like they have a better quality than others. We mainly have the audio coming out of the iDockingThing in bedroom or the hts in the lounge. I'm guessing it's more noticeable when using headphones?

I also haven't played with the audio settings on any of the devices I've used Simfy on so they're on whatever the default is.

I searched for created files for today date and found the album that I just downloaded. Encrypted of course, but the file sizes were not in line with 96/128 more likely 195/256 which is agreement with what they say on their website.

The songs are sent directly by the record labels who are required by contract to deliver the highest level of quality to us. Simfy streams between 192 – 320 kBits/s – that is comparable to the sound quality of a CD.

so yeah... bit confused tbh

Hmmm... can't say then. Maybe one needs to decrypt the files for a proper investigation.
