Just i a quick question,in area where i stay, using 8ta sim,it sometimes seem to associate with "8TA" tower, and sometimes "mtn(8TA)",so my question is..when you purhcase the 10gb deal, and the sim/device decides to roam to the mtn(8TA) tower...is the data you use still beging deducted from your 10gb...or are you billed at mtn/roaming rates......that would be disastrous!

with 10gb deal, you will only be allowed to use the 8ta network
it wont roam on mtn - so it might be a problem if yours is switching between the two

I think an "opened" sim with automatic selection will choose MTN if is only a little bit stronger than 8ta (which can be perfectly reasonable).

So a better test is to manually choose 8ta. Then it will work like the 10gb sim which will only try to get on the 8ta network.

have you got a standard 8ta sim? if so you need to get it unlocked to access the 8ta HSPA+ network.

thnx for response, bought straight prepaid sim.loaded some airtime.and requested that it only associates with 8ta towers.so should be good correct?
