Hi all

So it use to be that no matter what line speed you had (even the fastest), your upload speed would never be more than 512 (lower on the entry packages)

I was thinking of going wireless but then just for the sake of interest compared packages and according to Telkom's site, if I get a 10meg line, my download will be minimum 640, maximum 10meg...
...and my upload will be minimum 256 and MAXIMUM 10MEG

So since when did they change the upload speeds also?
(not being sarcastic, was really suprised to see this)

Must be a typo. Don't think any of the lines have 10 upload. They got rid of 512 a while back though.

Yes 10Meg + lines upload at more than 512k but way less than 10Mbps. It should be 1Mbps up on a 10Meg down line

The upload usually caters for the speed you can download at re: TCP ack packets needed to be sent over the line. So the faster your line the faster the speed you need to be able to upload at to not affect the speed you can download at
