Ok guys

In our best attempt of at least 10 tries last night, we reached 13% on Sindragosa before some unlucky caster blew the hell out of the entire raid group. Might anybody have some advice to give us in regards to Unchained Magic stacks other than "stop casting"?

In other news, my Scourge Reaver's Legplates still have not dropped.

Wish it were that simple :P Everything goes fine for the first 2 air phases, including Frost Bomb dodging and Tomb placement. It's when we hit sub 20% that people start to get nervous and healers / casters forget to stop DPS'ing the boss and blow us up.

yes the guys with unchained should never cast a spell!!

i mean never if they get 1 stack move out of raid and blow up there. we used 9 healers before just to be safe here.

cindy 10 man herioc is zergable also btw, but yeah 25 old fashion way.

We currently are using that system Heretic, where Healers with stacks are moving right and DPS left, and it all works fine till sub 20%. Then it seems people get tunnel vision and lose it completely.

then its just slakcers, kick em easy as that, its as easy as left and right if people cant move left and right they don't need to raid.

Not much else you can do about Unchained Magic. Its mostly a question of not being "unlucky", as you put it :D

The only way to overcome this nervousness, is to spend some time there. When we first downed LK, we extended the raid reset a number of times, untill everyone became comfortable with all various goodies in the phases. Eventually it becomes quite easy. You just need some patience, my young padiwan. And lots of gold...... :D

Pretty much, your method - without seeing it,sounds sound, they just need to be punished into submission, took us 3 days of wiping to get it down

This is silly advice. People are learning the fight. Seriously if they got this far, they deserve to be there. Kicking people for this reason will ensure your guild cant field 25. You then have to recruit and start again. If the players can do the previous encounters they can do Sindragosa. If people arent prepared to wipe in a raid, especially heroic mode, then they shouldnt be there.

...before some unlucky caster blew the hell out of the entire raid group.

Thats the problem right there. There is no "unlucky" in a manageable and known mechanic of the fight.

Unlucky, is getting unchained magic 3-4 times in a row.

However, you will need to pay your school fee's on this one just like you did all the other Hard modes. Just take the Hammer and Nails approach, pretty soon people will be gatvol of making the same mistakes and be pleasantly suprised at how easy it is when they actually stop making them.

the problem with this fight is one guy's ef-up can cause a whipe

We have 11/12 heroic icc on farm, by that i mean we get to LK every week with 50 tries available.

We get 3 new people in, 2 weeks back, we whipe on her for 2 hours, sub them out, get the kill, last night those 3 people get it wrong again for an hour and then we get the kill. We got annoyed with them and then the RL says to us, just remember, we whiped on this heroic fight for close on a month and now we expect these people to get it right in 2 hours.

We were all nubs once

we replace about 2 or 3 healers just for that fight as we know they will mess up,sometimes it needs to be done, cant scream on vent each time need to have brake aswell :P

we raid 9 hours week ,so we cant wipe 2 hours on farm boss ,just get it done.

Thats just not fair, all for one and one for all - you expect them to keep you alive the 11 other fights but then you just sub them out, give them a go and teach them, if they still dont get it right, then guild kick the rather than just leave them hanging

thats we give them we tries then we replace ,if fail next week again, failed trail then if member/raider we ofc just have talk with them.

cant have same guy wipeing raid each time it gets boring after a while.

we have a hunter in our guild, he is the man - he does insane dps and when he started he was always online, but as soon as we started whiping he would fake a dc or something like that. So now we clear ICC up to the usual 50 lk whipes in one night, so he "works" 4 nights a week so he cant raid at the moment.

So wednesday he pitches for the normal loot night, the RL says, you guys have a free night tonight we go at it tomorrow, so come thursday, he pitches ofcourse he gets asked, i thought you worked nights shifts and you cant raid on thursday through theusday, so he says yeah i organised a day off to be here. RL just luaghs on vent and kicks him out of the guild.

I liked that cause i will rather raid with a guy that is willing to pay for 50 whipes with his time and gold than guys that just come for the lootz and tokens.

yeah hate those guys, though we monitor it from now on.

first in the guild you only get raider promote if attendance is 90%+, raider get priory on loot over members, aka you wont get your high end gear as member so you are pretty much force to sign for the raids, really works out nicely ,first guild i joined that used this setup.

Hahahahaha Brilliant :)
We've just gotten back on our feet after the rebuild and I already have some of those on my list. One of their nicks has even become an adjective to be used as a synonym for "leaving you in a ditch"

As a RL, I _far_ prefer a steady, reliable Raider that can endure 50 wipes than a Brilliant raider who gets agro after the 2nd wipe.
Yes you shouldnt wipe 50 times, otherwise you have stupid reliable raiders ;) But I hope you get my drift.

Problem is that after a while, veteran reliable raider becomes egomanic veteran raider *sigh*
