The fourth, current Broadcasting Complaints Commission chairman Jacobus van Rooyen, will start work in January, says Icasa communications head Jubie Matlou. Matlou says there's an orientation programme for new councillors and that a workshop would be held in the next few weeks to acquaint them with all the projects that Icasa had to deliver on.

The next few weeks? - why the delay? is Telkodemonopolies still fine-tuning its brainwashing equipment to indoctrinate the new councillors? perhaps all 5 councillors are required to complete a pentagram...?
 
I'm not interested in people filling positions - I'm interested in people actually getting work done.
Paris and Ivy fill positions too but look at how much they have accomplished.
 
maybe they can get the ball rolling and at least close down 60% of another radio station next year.
 
aaa more incompitent people employed.......now if someone can just fix my spell checker.

More people getting paid for doing nothing. Being an ICASA counselor must really be lucrative. Say something remotely negative about Telkom and they make you an offer you cannot refuse.
 
This is ridiculous... surely the next person on the "short" list should be contacted and offered the position...not bloody wait for parliament which is on one of its many many many many recesses (do they ever actually sit in parliament anymore)?
