I live in Simons Town and we only have GPRS here. When my daughter calls me via Skype I can hear her perfectly but she cannot hear me. She says my voice is drawn out and broken. Why is this? By the way, she lives in America. If GPRS can recieve it perfectly why can it not send it perfectly?

There's probably just not enough bandwidth to send and receive simultaneously. Can you not get EDGE or 3G on a different network?

marco, skype wont work correctly upstream on GRPS, but if you use something like a teamspeak server then you will be fine. Setting the codec lower.

I have used Teamspeak on a 8kbps codec with GPRS.
