Anybody using Skype on their iPhone successfully? I'd be interested in some details before I spend any money.

I don't like fring and IM+, fring is a battery muncher and IM+ is not very stable.

Fring sucks, never wanted to connect on my phone, nimbuzz ftw!

IM+ is a paid-for ap, no thanks :p

I use IM+ for Skype and it work's fantastic!

There is a bad lag with fring on the iPhone and that when I have full 3G reception.

IM+ for Skype has been rated tops if you search around in other forums..

I also use IM+ for skype, and it works perfectly. I got mine for free on the free apps :) It works nicely :)

I use siphone on my iphone and it works better than the landline. Only thing is at this stage it only works from a wifi network but since i only use it at work...

I use skype via fring but only around the house and office and only on wifi.

I never use up my data bundle :(... think i should start making skype calls.

What is the data bundle with iPhone in ZA?

really depends on your package, most likely its 250MB data bundle (that was the one used when the big i phone release happened), but u can mix and match...

I'm not sure that skype over 3G would be all that cost effective?

Not really.

I was out-of-bundle when I used IM+ for Skype when i made a 20 minute phone call overseas (skype to skype). I checked my online itemised billing a few days later and that data call cost me ±R18...

It was an emergency phone call so I guess if I had called via the network it would've cost me!!
