Skype Telephones

I had a linksys wireless DECT phone with skype a while back, but you had to connect the base to your PC. It was rubbish though, and had to be replaced twice, after which it got discontinued.

I'd suggest maybe looking for a siemens gigaset that supports skype, if such a device exists. They're expensive but at least you know you're getting good quality.
 
DUALphone 3088. Hook up the base to power, broadband over ethernet, and PABX telephone line. Cordless and allows for an additonal 3 handsets to operate off the same base. I found it easy to install and operates very well. Also the product support was excellent. Only possible drawback is price R1627 for main base and R900+ for the additional handset @ Webantics - but we have never looked back

Post : Look at Expansys - R1374.99 for base, and R735 for an additional handset

I have the 3088 but the base unit suddenly stopped working. I can't buy a new base unit. Have to buy a complete new set. I also experience a loud hum on the phone for about 2 seconds before it goes away
