Skype turns 10

Internet messaging service Skype, which celebrates its 10th anniversary on Thursday, has shrunk the world in profound ways that few could have foreseen in 2003.

we used to be able to use MSN Messenger, as allowed... but of course Messenger now replaced by Skype.
so for business users, Messenger now replaced by Lync... but Lync not free, as messenger was.
at least can make Lync <-> Skype calls, at least in theory

This does warrant further investigation. I did have hangouts at the back of my mind should the occasion ever require it.

Wait wait, doesn't google automatically create a G+ profile for you ? Or borderline force you to create one via Youtube and all their other non-terrible stuff ?

They can copy it wherever they like. If you use it for hangouts only, no mattering.

Another popular app is LINE seen it on Play but haven't used it personally.

Sometimes I wonder how do they survive without generating funds from me.
