i only use my sim for data and have R100 call limit i never made calls but just used skype now i get this message ive used 70% of my call limit

Perhaps the sms referred to 70% of your data bundle since you use data for Skype.

Hi

Please call 082 111 to get the exact amount, they could check what your call limit is set to as well.

A call limit works as follows. It is a limit that is set in two ways:
All new lines that gets activated gets a mandatoy call limit which is determined by the package you took out. This call limit is normally applicable to you for about 4 months after which it is automatically removed from you line.

As a subscriber, you also have the option to set a call limit on your line. You can instruct VSP to for example load a R300 limit on usage. How this works then is that SMS, Data usage, call, any chargeable transaction that you make on your line will then count towards this R300.00 call limit. VSP will send you usage SMS's to let you know how much you have used of your call limit so that you can plan accordinly. The last sms that will be sent is on 90%. When 100% is reached the line is locked for any outgoing calls...including your voicemail. The line will then automatically unlock on the 1st of the next month.

I hope that clears it up for you?

VodacomData...It has been brought to my attention that waynegohl has not been paying for data usage....please make sure that we get hold of his number so we can close it down!!! hahaha.

Waynegohl...it could be as you said or it can also be that Skype just did not use a lot of data...I for example notice when I switched from Windows to Linux my Skype used a lot less bandwidth. Not sure how this works and why...but that is the impression I got. If it is a case that you were not billed for your Skype on your prepaid data...then consider yourself lucky....because you are supposed to be billed.

but mine was on just normal prepaid airtime i never even changedover to data at all.

How long ago was this? The way that you were supposed to have been billed was R2.00 per meg and that would then have been deducted from your airtime balance. Seems you got a free ride that time...doubt if you will get it again so hope you enjoyed it :-)
