Skyrim

I haven't heard of any official news, but I know that Skyrim was kinda developed for xbox first, then PC. So, the native XBox controller *should* work.

What blasphemy is this? Developed for xbox first? That doesn't sound right

Opinion: keyboard and mouse for a game like this is infinitely better

IMHO sitting back on my recliner feet up with a wireless gamepad by FAR outweighs "more accurate aiming" with a mouse and whatever other benefits mouse/keyboard combo may have.

+1

Besides, it's swords and shields most of the time except if you going to be casting a lot of ranged spells, so you won't really need to have the accuracy of a mouse.

I like the idea of modding the game, so I opted for PC, I also play a mage so I expect that the mouse will provide better accuracy.

But Oblivion was on my Xbox, and nothing beats lazing on a couch while you bash goblins and such :)

Until today I was really not bothered by the wait for release day. Now I'm feeling the tension begin to mount! Is it 11.11.11 yet??

I wanted the CE, and the PC version was cheaper, so I pre-ordered that. And then they went and moved the PC release date.

But Skyrim is going to take priority, and create all kinds of backlog!
Aye...and Saints Row The Third also comes out on the 18th so I'm going to go to sleep dreaming of cape wearing dragons wielding dildos. Good times!

Seriously though those hardware demands are pretty extreme.

I have high hopes for enjoying this game because I have really low expectations. What the elder scrolls does well is provide huge environments to explore with the cheesiest and flimsiest story lines and characters. I mean dragons ? Really ?

Yeehaa baby, I fall into the Extremely high category :)

Lol'd at "won't be able to play" list: Voodoo 1

No? Really? 1996 is heartbroken it can't take part in this game :)

Looking at the card categories i'm keeping my fingers crossed that my humble GTX 550 ti will be able to max it. There was massive hype about how BF3 was going to haul all but the best setups over an ocean of lava and misery but in the end guys with supposedly "substandard" setups are running it in eye-candy mode, so i'm hoping the same rule will apply with Skyrim

Without a doubt I know my pc will probably only get as far as Medium/High with smooth gameplay...

I'm busy finishing up a couple of unfinished games, so I can be ready for Friday. I wish I had a fast-forward button to then!
