Skyrim

urgh.. are treasures broken (the ones you find from a treasure map)? After restarting my charcter I can't find any and even looked in a spot I previously found treasure :s

New patch out, fixes the broken damage resistance that came with the 1.2 patch. Now I can play Skyrim again.

Just try fast traveling to the towns/houses out in the open, like Riverwood and Honeybrew Meadery. If you don't fast travel, random dragons spawns are quite rare. Also at lower levels they will only spawn if there are other people/animals around to help you fight.

Dragons have static spawns at word walls

Would be easier, but the closest one to Whiterun however has Krosis lurking around

Ok, I can get behind the fast travel/walking hypothesis. But to clarify, I completed the Western Guard Tower and such at level 2, visited Hrothgar at level 15, but I spend a LOT of time in cities blacksmithing. I'll hook up with Lydia and see if that helps. She seemed to be a dragon magnet.

Be patient. You will get your dragon encounters. It was also quiet for me until level 15. Fought a couple since then. When you're in a town. Try to talk to everyone possible. There's bound to be someone asking you to slay a dragon at a certain area. You also rack up the quests and more quests = more xp of course :D

Yup just walk around a lot, I'm getting annoyed by all the dragons I encounter. I've got about 12 souls stored up at the moment as every time I return home to to my mages quarters there is inevitably a dragon waiting for me at the college. The pile of bones in the court yard is becomming ridiculous :)

I also wish I knew the daedric armour thing for weapons smithing earlier, I'm up to special on light armour already

I'll make a pilgrimage to Winterhold. My mage was constantly getting attacked there. And I can pick up a spell casting follower for some range attacks.

Dragons seem to only appear if you're out in the open world. I've never had one attack me by walking around in a main city with enclosed walls. So if you're spending all of your time in cities like Whiterun, Riften, Windhelm, etc, that is why there are no dragons. On my first playthrough I didn't fast travel as well till I got to lvl20ish and had only 2 dragon encounters till then. Realized that the game would've taken me years to play through if I spent so much time walking around. So I started fast traveling eveywhere. Had a dragon pop up at almost every location. The spawns seem random without any minimum time limit. Once I had 4 dragons spawn in a single day (game time), just by fast traveling to places close by in the open world.

on a side note, does anyone know what enchatment get lift of the archmages robes should u disenchant it? I want to move the enchament to dragon scales if possible

I'm not 100% sure you CAN disenchant the robes. That being said, you could try finding a common outfit that has regen magicka and improved destruction?

You certainly can disenchant robes... I removed a chant from a black robe and put it on my dwarven armour instead.

Yes I know you can disenchant robes, but I suspect these are a UNIQUE item, and thus can't be. I can check when I get home :)

If I remember correctly, the only enchants you can recover from robes are the "+Magicka Regen" and "Reduced spell cost and magicka regen" (depending on the school of magic ie destruction/illusion) enchants

When I disenchanted a +150% regen, I wasn't able to re-enchant the full 150% onto my chest, the highest I could get it was 40%

Therein lies the problem, althought i suppose dragon armour with 15% spell cost reduction and 100% magicka regen would be IMBA!

Did someone go into that "Sightless pit" yet? If you're not at least level 20 and have lots of healing potions, or if you suck like me, don't go there. Bloody hell.

Check the Skyrim map here. If you do not want to see all the areas revealed, do not click on this link. Click on the map to enlarge it and scroll to block I2 where you will find Winterhold. The "Sightless Pit" is just a bit below Winterhold. Make sure to create a seperate save before you enter THE PIT because once you're in, you can't go back. If your character is at a high level it might not even be a challange. My game is on moderate difficulty and I tried quite early in the game at level 10 and at level 15 to get through the darn place, but I couldn't make it out the other end. I'll level up some more and give it ago again of course.
