Skyrim

One thing that bugs me, is if you see the markup they put on crap I sell them you have to wonder why they never have enough coin to buy all my goods. You would think they at least have some money on them, esp the ones I regularly visit.

It must be one of 2 things, the either they gamble the gold away or rent must be bloody high :)

The vendor's gold reset after some time. I think it might be around 3 ingame days. The reason for this is that if you exhaust the merchant's supply of gold, you can wait some time until it resets and then sell again. You can't reach a point where no merchants have any gold to buy stuff from you.

There are two perks in speechcraft to help, but they are both high level. The first allows you to invest 500G in a merchant, permanently increasing his gold stash. The second gives any merchant you have invested in an additional 1000G to barter with. I think the second one is the 100 skill perk in speechcraft.

Hi, my name is Ed. I am addicted to Skyrim.

This game will consume me....... I am only lvl 14 red guard, heavy armour, two hand etc but my guy is pretty strong and take about 5/6 hits to kill a dragon. The quest bugs are starting to annoy the hell out of me and I also get an IRRITATING lag issue where when transitioning from inside to outside after an hour or so of play, my fps drops from 40ish down to 10...!!! So I have to quit and start again and then everything is fine. Can't find a solution to this and it happens no matter my gfx settings. Maybe I must update my nvidia drivers, they are about 4 months old....!

Anyways, who here HATES the interface (PC)??? Why oh why oh why can't we have a decent char screen and inventory system. Scrolling through and endless list of items to find one arbitrary item is gonna cause me jumo over a cliff!! And why do we not have a quick item toolbar for potions and items...!!??!!?? Having to press F and scroll through a list of favourites in the middle of an attack is gonna make me burst into flames..!!??!!??

Anyway I love the game but wish it wasn't so consolified...

And this can make the drug soooooo much worse, Skyrim MMO style :)

Skyrim Online adds multiplayer: not quite ready for primetime
Skyrim Online has achieved what many thought impossible. It’s giving Skyrim players the chance to play online. Previous attempts to do the same with Oblivion and Fallout 3 ended in failure, but modder awpsoleet has managed to get a rudimentary alpha version of a Skyrim MMO up and running even before mod tools have been released.

The mod is currently extremely basic. Players can chat with eachother and see a representation of other players. The mod’s description claims other players are represented by a ‘spectral horse’, which sounds hilarious, but the version I tested instead had unclothed player models in a standard animation pose, gliding around. You can attack and cast spells on other players, but they don’t currently display any effects.

Despite all this simplicity however, the mod represents an impressive first step on the road to a true Skyrim MMO mod. We’ll definitely be adding it to our Skyrim Mods list, and keeping a close eye on it.

Can not wait for it to be fully working, actually just 2 or 4 player co-op would rock.

Im stuck early on in the game. I cannot get to the greybeards on that mountain. How the heck do I get there? Is there a special path up the mountain? HELP!!

If I remember correctly the Quest tells you to go to Ivarstead, where the path up the mountain starts, something about 7000 steps.

My poor Battlemage had a issue with that quest line a bit later on, well I only decided to continue it when I was a tad bigger.

At level 46 I was suppose to sneak around in some camp to find information, needless to say sneaking is not my game style so my toon never sneaked anywhere in the 150 hours of play(Sneaking is for wussies). Long story short, my sneaking failed miserably and everyone except for those at the party is dead... with a clear path of bodies on route to my quest objectives :)

Glad to see quests dont fail if you dont do it their way, well what I am trying to say is that most of the time the quest objective is just hints on what you can do but the game is open to interpretation as long as you get the end result. That is why I love it so much.

Stop playing on Easy and switch it to master.the way it should be played, dragons should take up to 30minimum hits and do allot of damage if you just mindlessly run in to kill them otherwise the game just gets boring.

Also you can easily get use to the interface,it becomes second nature.you can do everything with your left hand without taking your right hand of of the mouse.also if you want a faster interface then macro keys is also an option.

Wow what a interesting end, dont worry no spoilers.

Just finished the main story as a "good guy"

Time to start again, but this time I r gonna be a Evul murdering thefting SoB that just wants power :)

I started playing around 2 weeks ago (when I have time). The sheer variety of things to do is simply amazing. I have only completed the main story line as far as the becoming accepted by the grey beards and getting my unrelenting force shout *maxxed*. It seems that the game brings out some ADD as I keep getting distracted by some quest or new area I just quickly have to explore ...

Despite the little glitches here and there, this game is really well put together.

As a thief, I make it my mission to shoot all guards in the knee!!

Man its a totally different game after playing a Battlemage with heavy armor and enough "Fire" power to blow up armies with single shouts.

Only started playing Skyrim on Monday.

Bought it but never played it till Monday. First char I created was a warrior and I hated it. Played till about level 5 then gave up. Tried again last nigh, created a Mage and I'm loving the game to bits. Doing the Dragonborn quest dungeon now after speaking to the greybeards. Hope there is many many many more hours of gameplay on this game. I'm actually loving a single player game for the first time in many many many years.

I had the exact same feel to it. Playing the warrior I completed the Companions quest then just didn't bother again. Last night the second time round I found it much better, no idea why :o. Give it another pop, maybe you get the same result I did :D

I have to agree with you there. Since the days of Ultima Online I hardly touched single player games at all ... until now that is.

I've been playing it on and off for around a month now. What I love about it is that I play a bit here and there as being on leave means fixing the house, partying and fly fishing.

My first character was an archer and I also didn't like the play style, I now play a battlemage and have progressed quite a bit into the game.

I've created an android app for viewing the alchemy effects and ingredients and is completely free and ad-free. All I still need is some nice icons and some volunteers to test it out if anyone's interested.

You play for 10minutes only and then based on that "experience" you decided that the game is not fun? Have you read any of the 1000's of positive feedback articles on the net? Obviously it's better to just sell the game. LOL.
