Okay this is kind of weird but it’s really starting to bother me,

The last few months I’ll awake at night, totally confused and have no idea where I am, i'm not sure if i'm fully awake at this stage, its more like i'm awake but still in a dream, I’ll jump out of bed in a state of panic, trying to escape and run away, it lasts probably 3 – 4 minutes and I’ll realize what i'm doing and where I am, normally I find myself in the hall, or kitchen, once i was at the front gate shaking it with all my might or staring through a window....
This might not sound that bad, but it’s been getting worse and happening more often the last few weeks and in that few minutes im absolutely petrified.

Does anyone else suffer from this?, is there anything I can do?, Luckily i'm single, I’m pretty sure this will freak one’s partner out.

Lucid dreaming?
You can take control of your dreams with some practice.

There is no treatment for sleep walking but it could be triggered due to some other issues. (sleep opnoea) If it carries on the best would be to go and see a sleep therapist.

A sleep therapist, I did not even know you get sleep therapists...wonder if my medical aid will cover than.

You on any sleep medication?

Nope, nothing. I do have "Beta sleep", but i never drink them.
Also noticed this have never happened while going to bed drunk :p

I know some people suffer "forgetfulness" when on these type of meds. I myself need to go to bed within 1 hour of drinking mine or I don't know how I got into bed. In your case, maybe get a doctor to put you on some and see if it still happens? Might make it worse though, but might also solve it.

That is strange. I'd suggest putting a camra in your room and recording a nights sleep.
Some paranormal activity stuff could be happening :p

On a serious note, do you have any bad or wild dreams on nights that these occur?

Once I had a similar experience and managed to walk accross a busy road to a shopping centre luckily the complex guard was following me to make sure I was alright :p.

Was only 14 at the time and was hallucinating and was still in my sleeping clothes
