Good day..

In this HEAT () my computer (more like my Hard drives) are heating up my case.. can feeling the burning sensation on the outside.. So I want to get a 120mm FAN for my PC..

But the thing is now, all of the slient FANS, they have to take power from the motherboard... But I already have a FAN that takes power from my motherboard..

SO I just want to know if anyone has a SILENT FAN that doesn't take power from the motherboard?

Thanks

kaisterkai: just get a molex -> fan adapter. The 120mm fans that I've ordered all game with that adapter.
Then you can plug the fan in on any open/used molex connector of your PSU, because the adapter is like a splitter - so you don't end up wasting a connector :)

I see you have removed you rig as your signature. Are you ashamed of it since there is the Sandy Bridge? :)

Neither of those two mentioned fans move a lot of air though, but ±40CFM is pretty standard and should be fine for 99% of people.

Nexus D12SL

SilentPCReview's defacto standard against which all other fans are measured and still their no. 1 As posted above Sybaritic sells them, Cyberdyne systems in Johannesburg also.

I've personally got 2 of them and at 7v you can't hear the PC except if you put your ear right up against the fan.

I bought two Aerocool 14cm Shark fans, and at full voltage it sounds like an Airbus A380 at takeoff :p

I'm going to try them in reduced voltage mode, to see if they are bearable.

They do move an awesome amount of air though! :D

I would recommend the Thermalrite X-Silent got them from wootware they really silent and can run dead silent on the fanmate also those Noctua fans are even better but hard to find in CPT though
