Slow ADSL and Internet

Who be experiencing slow internet and adsl issues these last few days?

my torrents have been a total dog... but that might be the few seeds that I had connected

I normally hit 350K/sec but Ive been lucky if I hit 80K/sec

I tried to download an 80Mb file.

On our uncapped line it goes through ISDSL cache. And fails.

So I switched over to our other ADSl line, and guess what? Telkom's routing through ISDSL as well and the download also fails.

Bleh.

We are through IS and our connection is also terrible it works in bursts... Its quite irritating.

Slow ADSL

Count your blessings - at least you can use the ADSL. In parts of Randburg, the connection lasts for 2-3 seconds at best, then drops for a couple of minutes.

Been like this for over a week.

According to the geniuses at Telskum, they're waiting for "parts"...........

Something must be up. I have a 4meg and today I'm lucky if I can even get it to be 1meg. Usually watching a youtube video would be ok, no buffering. But today I had to wait about half an hour for a 6min video to load. Latency and upload is still perfect and my modem is syncing at 3800 to 4096 sigh

I'm on Afrihost right now and everything is ok.

Got some local torrents and news server going on Web Africa (IS). All is fine (for 384 anyway). Haven't used Telkom for a while so not sure how SAIX is doing

Same here - Afrihost over 384. DL's still at 33-38kb/s.

And don't ask me how but here's the best result I've gotten to date:

Thing is, earlier it was my Telkom giving me similar results to my Afrihost

Same here - Afrihost over 384. DL's still at 33-38kb/s.

SAOL/CS is giving me 40KB/s news server and torrent access. I have no complaints
