Since 18:00 my ADSL speed has decreased dramatically - my pages won't load properly and I've tested this on all 4 of my browsers.

Does anyone else have this issue? I can't even use the wifi from my router... is this a server issue? My ISP is Telkom... is this on their side? Enlightenment would be appreciated thanks.

Btw my torrent dl speeds are fine.

I'm having similar issues. At times I can't browse at all yet my line syncs....I've tried all three my accounts but nothing helps.

Seems to be up and down the whole time.
 
Mine is also slow and has been for more than a week - it's driving me round the bend. Speeds are intermittent going from working fine to not working at all. And mostly seems to be the international bandwidth.

I wish someone would tell me either why this is happening or when it is going to be fixed.

I'm on an Axxess account (tried both shaped and unshaped) which I know is on the IS backbone. I've also spent many hours fighting with Telkom - but ultimately it's probably not their fault.
 
Axxess is on SAIX, not IS.

I had issues as well this weekend using, axxess. There were times I could not connect to the internet,

I switched to my Mweb account and everything worked better.

So does it matter if they rent through IS or SAIX, it is not using satellite bandwidth.?
 
A correction here

Axxess is on IS except if you already have an arrangement with them to be put on SAIX else by default you are routed now via IS
 
As far as I know IS has a bad rep because they get satellite bandwidth (and have the worst news-server in history!!) but they also lease from the sat3 cable so its basically the same as saix, I could be TOTALLY wrong though;)
 
ya, all a bit confusing if you tell me..
I think if its IS fibre its on SAT3,
Saix is all on SAT3.
Axxess semi-shaped is IS fibre
Axxess unshaped is SAIX
 
I've been having the same problem since Saturday morning. Some website does not even load at all.

I've been having particular problems with trying to access http://lifehacker.com. Always timing out.

Can any of you guys or gals access the above website.

I'm on Telkom Do2 (384), by the way.
 
Hey I just asked had my dad reset our telkom account at his work - it's back to normal now. Just phone telkom and ask them to reset your account.
