Slow and Intermittent Connectivity

Hi,

We've recently been experiencing slow and intermittent connectivity with Afrihost. My router stays connected but there is no response from the internet, if there is a response it is intermittent and slow. It is a capped 50+50gb account.

I spoke to someone regarding this over your live support chat after which they did something and seem to rectify the problem for about 30mins. The same slow/intermittent connectivity resumed after that. I even had trouble staying connected to the chat.

As I told the support staff, this only happens with Afrihost as any other ISP seems to work fine.

That latency looks pretty darned horrid. :(

Would you be able to ping bras.afrihost.com please. That will give us an indication of the latency between your modem and the Exchange.

I'm actually struggling here with my line, showing syncing 20mbs/2mbs but netflix buffering, terrible downloads. Just not a happy camper, fault logged with telkom for second time, Im hoping that I start seeing what I'm paying for.

Might as well have a 1mbs line, because thats what it seems like :(

We can't really work with the link that you sent, as that's a trace from a server and not from your local PC/Router - which is what we need to see.

This trace also doesn't tell us enough. Can you try adjusting your TTL on your ICMP packets so that we can get more meaningful values? :(
 
Slow and blotchy connectivity .... Apple servers seem painfully slow. Can't get two step verification messages
