i pm'ed u my info a week ago ...
Went back and searched through the 299 PM's currently in my inbox requiring some kind of answer and found yours.
It's just a 2 line addr and a number, no name, no description of the problem, etc.
To be quite honest, when I get a PM like that, it kinda goes to the bottom of the list, as I now have to start searching through multiple threads what it was about. Remember, you might send me one PM and can remember what it's about. I get stacks of these and since there's no correlation between forum posts and PM's, I have to manually find the link. And this process tends to slip, it's just to time consuming.
So please, when you guys PM me, please include as much info as possible. It makes it easier for me to pass it on. I've posted a thread before on how to PM me. Try and use that template.
And please include a real name and surname!
I know it's very PC to use nicknames on forums, but think if I log a call with a regional support structure as follows: "Got a person, only known as 'flame' who's got a problem, don't really know what it is. Can you guys look into it?". Does not quite have the same weight as using a real name and surname and a detailed problem description with supporting data.
So, the more info you include, the easier it is to get action going. Otherwise, the support guys will just throw it back, asking for more details. They're snowed under as it is, and it's not fair to ask them to gather info they should be given in the first place.
Guys like ajax and others will attest to this. They pass detailed info, making it very easy for people to pick it up.
And while on the subject; please don't bother to post here (or PM me) asking for help when you're not interested in getting the problem resolved.
It's happened many times now where I get a request from the forum and then we can never get hold of the person who logged it in the first place, not returning calls, etc. Or when we get hold of him/her, not interested in getting the problem resolved. All it does is to give the myADSL forum an image of a bunch of time wasters, and none of us here who are serious about broadband would want this.
/here endeth the lesson
