Slow internet in Google Chrome

Hi there,

So something is bothering me and I don't know how to fix it.

I have always used Google Chrome as my default browser, but lately my internet has been so slow but only when using Google Chrome, when I open it Google takes about 1 min to load and browsing is a nightmare, yet when I use IE it's seconds for pages to load.

What could the problem be?

According to Task Manager it is using about 6% and only add-ons I have is my Anti-Virus add-on. I see that I have the 32-bit version installed but I am running a 64-bit version on Windows 8, can this be the problem?

I would suggest Kaspersky as a clean-up after you have already been infected but this is all a debate on one's opinion/preference.
Going 64bit would only allow chrome to use more memory which is great for when you have a lot of tabs open.

Have you tried a fresh install? Just back-up your data profile and bring it back to test if it was the chrome install or a settings of yours that was messing up.
