Slow internet?

I stay in Fearie Glen, the past 2 days have been getting max 100kb/s on my connection. But the wosrt is that the connection is so unstable, drops connection for 1min or 2, very now and again. Does anyone know if something is wrong?

I have a 4mb line with a gold openweb account.

can ou please post your modem stats that can be found on your router.

if our connection is dropping it could mean a bad line etc.

In Fishhoek Exteter Avenue - hopelesssly low speeds



Good day, I am experiencing the same - In fish hoek. Been escalated to MWEB and they say its now in Telkom's hands. It has been getting worse for past month and a half or thereabouts. I find it strange though that after you call Mweb ADSL tech help it improves and runs at an avearge of 1mef speed but later deteriorates. Been monitoring every day for past week and it does not matter whether night or day, work day or PH or weekend. One suspects all kinds of things. Once telkom comes back we may know. I tried a different ISP and the speed was the same despit it being an unshaped account. So although many fingers point at MWEB (in my case) it seems that it is Telkom. I can't undersatnd why the problem is widespread over the country.
