IS international slower today than usual. Can't download from HP at any realistic speed. Murphy, when I get you, You're dead!

Yeah, its painfully slow for me too. I think Murphy left IS. I think Steve is working there now. lol

On IS I'm getting 2kb international, Eastern Cape. What a ripoff.

It's my first month on IS and at this rate my last.

IS speed used to be decent..but has degraded severely over the last year, I'm probably gonna look into a new account from next month :(

Well, sadly this is my last month with Openweb (IS based account) - I use my account primarily for Forex trading and not only has the speeds been terrible, my earnings has gone down.

As I said before, OpenBrowse certainly had potential...but that too has now failed all of us.

Proff

yeah sad....IS international is poked! this morning i logged a fault with WA it seems that SAIX was in part fixed and i am getting better speeds via SAIX, IS is down the hill.....i am officially getting more and more frustrated with IS. i used to be a big supporter of them, now iam in a catch 22, i dont want to support the devil and i cant support IS anymore coz for QoS comapred to value its not worth my time or effort. there are no other reasonable offers out there..coz it's either sell your soul to the devil himself or sell your kidney to his underlings....u just cant win...

IS WTF!!!!!!!!! are your techies all sleeping on the job????

I posted this in another thread:

I emailed OpenWeb to ask them about this degradation, and they said IS were busy in the process of upgrading there International link. They intimated that the upgrade should be completed by the middle of this month

Guess what
Says Alan Bacher, Business Unit Manager - Access Solutions at IS; “Having increased our international bandwidth by 843 Mbps over the last 12 months, and with current bandwidth at over 1.7 Gbps

I personally find this hard to believe. I worked for Mweb and about 2 years ago Mweb's International bandwidth link were just under 90MB. At that time 1 MB of International bandwidth cost them R1.4 Mil - you wanna tell me IS has more money than Mweb?

I'm pretty sure IS does, they host a lot of websites etc. as well, that's not just ADSL bandwidth.

Im also getting tired of IS, hopefully Telkom will drop there rates for local bandwith soon
